The Bar Council of Gujarat hereby constitutes the Gujarat Bar Council Advocates Academy for the purpose of achieving the object of continued legal education for the advocate in the State of Gujarat. For the aforesaid purpose, initially the Bar Council resolves to associate with Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar. The Chairman of the Bar Council of Gujarat has consulted the Director Mr. Bimal Patel of GNLU, and he has consented to associate with this CLE by Gujarat Bar Council Advocates Academy (GBCAA). The GNLU will provided building facility for conducting CLE in summer vacation period of the Hon’ble High Court. The GNLU will also associate with GBCAA for faculty of preparing the curriculum in such CLE.
The Bar Council of Gujarat Advocates Academy constitutes a Committee comprising of following members :-
Chairman, Bar Council of Gujarat, Ex-officio GBCAA, Vice-Chairman, Bar Council of Gujarat Ex-officio GBCAA, and other three members as selected by the Bar Council of Gujarat, three faculty members nominated by GNLU. Initially the fund of Rs. 2,00,000/- be allocated for the Academy GBCAA. Accordingly, this scheme covers all Districts in Gujarat with concerned Universities. |
